SPL Parts Adjustable Rear Sway Bar Endlinks for F8x / G8x BMW M2 / M3 / M4

The SPL Parts RE F8X addresses it in two directions simultaneously. Teflon-lined FK 1/2-inch bearings at the shock mount end deliver the highest load capacity available for this application and transfer rear sway bar force to the chassis directly, without rubber flex blunting the connection. Heat-treated Chromoly High Misalignment Studs at the sway bar connection provide 65 degrees of articulation; the full range needed when an aftermarket rear sway bar is used across multiple adjustment hole positions. Standard studs bind at non-factory angles and limit bar movement; the 65-degree range prevents binding at every position, preserving the bar’s rated stiffness through the full adjustment range. Length adjustment is independent on each side through the black anodized 6061-T6 aluminum turnbuckle with left and right hand threaded rod ends. That independence is the setup detail that separates properly built track cars from ones that are only partially dialed in; any side-to-side ride height variation or corner weight difference creates preload in a fixed-length endlink, giving the rear sway bar a built-in lean before the driver has done anything. Independently adjustable endlinks eliminate that lean, giving the setup a neutral, repeatable baseline.

Does the SPL RE F8X fit both the F8x and the newer G8x generation M2 / M3 / M4? Yes. A single part number covers both the F8x generation and the G8x generation. The rear sway bar and shock mount connection geometry is consistent across both generations for this application, which is why one part serves both without modification.
How does upgrading the rear endlinks complement an aftermarket rear sway bar on the F8x or G8x? An aftermarket rear sway bar is rated for a specific stiffness, but that stiffness is only delivered to the chassis in full if the endlinks transmit force without loss. Factory rubber bushings absorb a portion of the bar’s load through compression and deflection, which means the bar underperforms its rating at the chassis. The SPL RE F8X’s FK spherical bearings transmit force directly with no deflection, allowing the full rated stiffness of the rear bar to reach the suspension. The result is more predictable and consistent rear body control, especially in sustained cornering.
What does adjustable endlink length do for a corner-balanced F8x or G8x? Corner-balancing sets corner weights by adjusting ride height at each corner independently. If the resulting rear heights differ between left and right by even a small amount, fixed-length endlinks twist the rear sway bar and create a baseline roll stiffness imbalance that favors one side. Setting each endlink independently to produce zero preload removes that imbalance entirely, giving the rear suspension a neutral starting point where the sway bar only loads in response to body roll; not because of a height discrepancy at rest.
Do the 65-degree misalignment studs make a practical difference on the F8x rear suspension? Yes, particularly when running an aftermarket rear sway bar at a non-standard hole position. The factory sway bar geometry was designed for one specific angle. Standard ball studs with 15 to 20 degrees of articulation accommodate only the factory position cleanly; at other hole positions they begin to bind, which restricts the bar’s movement and puts premature stress on the stud joint. The 65-degree Chromoly studs articulate freely at every adjustment position without restriction, allowing the rear bar to operate at its full range of travel regardless of which hole is selected.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest.
