SPL Parts Rear Camber and Toe Eccentric Lockout Kit for E8x / E9x BMW 1 Series / 3 Series (Non-M)

The factory eccentric bolts on the non-M E8x and E9x BMW handle two rear alignment functions; camber and toe; and they do both with the same fundamental limitation: friction. Under sustained high cornering loads, that friction can be overcome. The bolts rotate, the alignment shifts, and the handling balance changes mid-session in ways that are consistent enough to be frustrating but subtle enough to be misdiagnosed as setup problems. The SPL EL E9X addresses both eccentric positions at once in a single purchase. CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum lockout plates replace the factory eccentric bolts at both the rear camber arm and rear toe arm positions. CAD-plated grade 10.9 bolts and lock nuts create mechanically fixed connections at both points; not held by friction, but held by hardware that physically cannot rotate under any cornering load. Both camber and toe hold their set values through every session rather than drifting with eccentric rotation.

How is the SPL EL E9X different from the separate ELC E9X and ELT E9X kits? The EL E9X is the combined kit that eliminates both the rear camber arm and rear toe arm eccentric bolts in a single purchase. The ELC E9X covers only the camber arm eccentric; the ELT E9X covers only the toe arm eccentric. For builds addressing both positions at once, the EL E9X combined kit is more efficient and typically more cost-effective. For builds where only one position needs attention, the separate camber-only or toe-only kit is the more focused choice.
Does the SPL EL E9X fit M Version E8x and E9x models? No. This kit is for non-M E8x and E9x models only; the 2006-2011 standard 1 Series and 3 Series chassis. The M Version uses a different rear subframe configuration and requires a separate kit. Confirm your specific chassis and trim level before ordering.
Do I need both adjustable rear camber arms and adjustable rear toe arms before installing this kit? Yes, and both are hard requirements. Removing the camber arm eccentric eliminates the factory camber adjustment mechanism; without adjustable rear upper camber arms, rear camber cannot be set or changed after installation. Removing the toe arm eccentric eliminates the factory toe adjustment mechanism; without adjustable rear toe arms, rear toe cannot be set or changed after installation. The SPL RUA E9X provides rear camber adjustment and the SPL RTA E9X provides rear toe adjustment for these platforms; both should be installed before or at the same time as this lockout kit.
What is the difference between this kit and the combined eccentric lockout for the E8x / E9x M Version? Both are combined camber and toe lockout kits but they cover different chassis configurations. This kit fits non-M E8x and E9x models from 2006-2011. The M Version combined kit fits the E82M/1M and E9x M3 and uses different hardware geometry to match the M Version rear subframe. The two kits are not interchangeable between M and non-M platforms.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest.
